I am making a recipe book for myself but all I have so far is hummus and white bean burgers. I can't get like strange ingredients or anything, so I need simple recipes. What are some vegetarian recipes that a 13 year old can make?
Check my recipes blog (over 450) recipes and photo. Some of the ingredient you might not get, as I'm in Singapore, but you can substitute or sometime go without it or improvise or you may come up with more creative ones after looking.
Maybe, you can later share your recipes with all of us.
No worries, most of my recipes are simple and easy. cheersWhat are some vegetarian recipes that a 13 year old can make?
Are you able to get tofu? If you are, you can stir fry mixed vegetable and tofu, and add soy sauce. You don't need the tofu though. It's just as good without it.
Also, you can make tacos. I make mine with rice, refriend beans, and spinach.
You can make chilli with kidney beans and tomato sauce. You can add MorningStar ground 'beef' (found in the freezer section) if you have it, but it's not needed. The chilli goes good with Spicy Sweet Doritos.
Any whole grain/wheat pasta dish
Peanut butter and jelly
Tortillas, rice, beans and salsa (burrito)
Baked potato (microwaveable)
Baked yams/sweet potato (microwaveable)
Any steamed vegetable
One can of Pinto beans and one cup of veggie broth boiled and mashed together makes a great homemade style of refried beans.
Combine one can of boiling vegetable broth with a teaspoon of corn starch to create a sauce and then mix that with some rice or pasta and mixed vegetables. Add any extra spices you want.
Be creative and mix %26amp; match!
Three ingredients:
Spaghetti
Sauce
Frozen Veggies
Boil the noodles. Cook the veggies in the sauce. Done.
*If you are feeling really adventurous, you can add a meat substitute to the sauce
*If you are feeling really lazy, forget the veggies and just use sauce and noodles.

Teen's aren't the only one's who have trouble finding strange ingredients called for in many cookbooks. I don't know of a good cookbook for teens but this site is geared towards teen vegetarians.
