I'm a vegetarian myself-- but unfortunately I think it's best for your baby to have meat in his/her diet. Aside from protein, there are essential amino acids found in meat that our bodies cannot synthesize on their own. (I believe there's a very specific combination of legumes and vegetables that can make up for it, but I wouldn't rely on that for your child.) I'm all for vegetarianism, but I'm even going to be giving my baby girl meat until she's old enough to decide for herself whether or not she wants to live the same vegetarian lifestyle as me. I hate to admit it...but meat is probably healthiest for your baby. Best of luck!Protein rich vegetarian recipes for a 15 month old?
